• 30/5/2009-31/5/2009, Painting & Sculpting, Passepartout '09. Plateia Vlahou (Lorenzos Mavilis, a famous Greek Poet lived on this square, 1860-1912). The exhibition will include a workshop of art made by recycling materials, 12:00-14:00.

• 16/5/2009, Secular Songs of the Renaissance Era, operatic concert performed by vocal ensemble Emmelia, formed in 1994 & conducted by Valerie Oreskin. This is the second event by Corfu Chamber Opera, in a welcoming effort to re-introduce opera on the island. Church of St. George, Old Fortress, 21:00, €18.

• 10/5/2009, National Bicycle Day. Organised by private groups, it is a friendly bicycle ride day aiming to encourage bicycle use in towns. Starting point will be Georgaki square, 12:00. Everyone is welcome to join.

• 4/12/2008, Sound & Vision, an evening based on an idea of Dimitris Maragopoulos successfully performed at Megaro Mousikis in Athens with the cooperation of Athens Planetarium. It is a rare event for Corfu that combines music with visual arts and science. Dionysis Simopoulos, manager of Athens Planetarium, will present a scientific synopsis of cosmology and its relation to time and space. His speech is accompanied by the Symphony Orchestra of the Ionian University and a video presentation by Panagiotis Simopoulos. Ionian University, 9pm
